Client Name: Mary
Patient Name: LG

“LG came to us after one of his lung lobes was removed!  He is an active hunting dog, and we were happy to get him back into shape after his injury. He now comes to us for routine chiropractic and continues to excel in the hunt.”

Dr. Amber Ihrke

Brief History of Pet

LG was bred by me. We own his Sire and Dam. We started in Weimaraners in 1997. He was born November 8, 2016. My husband and I got into hunting and AKC field events, where we compete with our dogs, and also became AKC judges for these events.

Why VSMR?

Lg had to have a part of his lung removed due to inhaling a grass particle. He was on cage rest for 6 weeks. I called Dr Amber and asked if she had ever worked with a dog in this situation. She said that was a new one for her.

Favorite Motivator

“LG is a very sweet boy who was always eager to come in for his treatments. He was so active and full of energy that you would never have guessed that he had lost a lobe of his lung. He never let that slow him down and made a full recovery and went back to his true love of hunting and field trials.”

How VSMR has helped

We went there and she did great work with him to get him back on his feet. You would never know that he had that surgery. The whole team at VSMRGH are wonderful and should be proud of their work.

Additional Information

LG has received titles in Retrieving, Canine Good Citizen, Hunting and Therapy Dog. He goes to the nursing homes, libraries for pet visits and just the other day to Lewis University. They bring the dogs in before finals, for the students to relax.
