“This handsome man was a joy to work with and always came in with a positive attitude I really enjoyed my time with him and had a lot of fun being part of his recovery!”
Kat Holich

Drax came to VSMR in January of 2022 after having his CCL repaired by TPLO procedure at Colonial Manor. He was a model patient, doing walking like a pro in the underwater treadmill and showing off his skills doing land based exercise before being released from rehabilitation this past April.

How VSMR has helped Drax

Drax improved tremendously in his time here at VSMR, increasing his weight bearing and use of his right rear leg. He had a textbook recovery from his surgery and was a model patient!

Additional Information

Drax is a huge fan of lounging on a floatie in the pool and is looking forward to getting back to frisbee once he is completely recuperated from his injury.

Non-Profit Organization

At VSMR, we ask the owners of our Patient of the Month to choose a non-profit to be featured and donated to. Drax’s owners have chosen The Caspian Fund, which prides itself on helping disabled pets live independent lives. The fund was started in honor of one of our first patients, Caspian. He can be seen hanging out in our logo, and although he is no longer with us, his spirit and his paw prints will live forever in our hearts. Every patient we help is in honor of him and his wonderful parents.
